16 th century

In 1426,  the Nehéz family is landowner in the  Berente village of the Fehér county. The famili’s  Joannes member is a member of the patrician congregation of the fehér county.

In the middle of the century, only the names
(Blasius, Paulus,  Dionisius ) are known of the family’s different members. The family connections can not be found out.

During the century we meet with
Péter  many times, sometimes without title, sometimes with the titles of kolontári  or kozmafalvi . It is possible, that he  is identical with man of king with the titles of korompai and sárosfalvi , but it is possible, that more Péters lived in the same time.

A
Péter   in  1460 is landowner in the kelecsen village of the Heves county,

In 1469 -1470 is landowner in the Hodoska, lak, Aracsa, Neszele,  Gébárt,  Kolontár villages of Veszprém county, in the Tót-Dörögd, Homokkomár, Bodych villages of Zala county. In
1484 a kozmafalvi Nehéz family is mentioned.

Despite, their occurrence in the Fejér, Veszprém, Zala, Vas counties, later the family was said, as originated from the county of pozsony.

The beginning of their ownership in the county of Trencsén is rather obscure.

The activity of one of the families, in the era of king mátyás  (1443 – 1490), could  be traced through the documents of suits.

The documents show  the acquiring of wealth, the related suits, eventually the despotism of the family.

Between  1458 and 1494 tree  sibling from this family,  korompai
Nehéz Péter, sárosfalvi Nehéz György and István have acquired villages as donations, or pawns.

Along the acquiring the names of
Simon and Mihály also came up, and later the name of János, the son of István too.

In 1499 the Bori village of Hont county possessed by Nehéz
Simon, and after one and a half century, lost by Nehéz Gábor

Castle of Éleskő (1689)

They also owned two castles,  Éleskő (1464) and Lednic  (1475) for a while, with the belongings of the those.
The coat of arms of the family is known from this time,

But data about ennobling are only two centuries later.

Whereas their bigger estates were mainly on the counties of Nyitra and Pozsony, they appear mainly with the titles of
sárosfalvi  and korompai  on the base of their estate, but  eventuates the title of lednicei  too.

Péter, who was the boss of the castle in 1465 in Komárom, in 1472 in Pécs, acted as the man of king in more case. He died without descendent.

György had only daughters. On male brunch, only trough the descendants of István could proceed the name, but only  the  name  of one of them, János is known. It is sure, that the brunch of Simon gave male descendant.

For lack of male descendant, János lose Sárosfalva in 1690.

The descendants of families, living in different places give that several people, having
Nehéz name, who known in the documents of the following centuries. They can not  be arranged in family tree.

Probably these wealth acquiring families give the members of  subsequent noble brunch.
